The National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification (NCVC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Tourism Authority to strengthen collaboration, exchange expertise, and provide technical and advisory support to develop tourism experiences on lands managed by the NCVC and position them as investment opportunities.

Under the agreement, the NCVC will identify sites suitable for tourism development and design optimal plans to launch sustainable and diverse tourism offerings. These sites will be marketed locally and internationally through dedicated tourism platforms and channels.

The MoU also outlines plans to develop designated areas for caravan and RV camping, with both parties working on comprehensive site layouts, operational requirements, and strategies to offer these locations as investment opportunities for private sector operators.

This partnership reflects the NCVC’s ongoing efforts to build strong collaborations with government entities, private sector players, and non-profit organizations to advance initiatives that enhance vegetation cover, rehabilitate degraded lands, combat desertification, and preserve natural resources.

The NCVC is dedicated to protecting and developing vegetation sites across the Kingdom, managing rangelands, forests, and national parks, and creating sustainable investment opportunities. These efforts align with the Saudi Green Initiative, promoting eco-tourism and sustainable land use while preserving the Kingdom’s natural heritage for future generations.
